Seki 200ml 3.54 mg/ml is a syrup to calm dry, irritating coughs that do not go away and to promote the functionality of the upper airways.
The calming action on cough of Seki cough syrup 200ml 3.54 mg/ml is due to its active ingredient, cloperastine. This active ingredient acts on the histamine receptors dedicated to the induction of the cough signal located in the lungs and brain, inhibits the stimulus to cough and calms dry coughs .
Seki 200ml 3.54 mg/ml is a totally plant-based and alcohol-free product.
The product is equipped with a measuring cap on which the administration values for adults and children are indicated.

Seki 3.54 mg/ml syrup 100 ml contain, active ingredient: cloperastine fendizoate 354 mg equivalent to cloperastine 180 mg; excipients with known effect: ethanol 30 mg, methyl-para-hydroxybenzoate 122 mg, propyl-para-hydroxybenzoate 18 mg, propylene glycol 230.4 mg, sucrose 45 mg. Seki 3.54 mg/ml syrup microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carmellose, polyoxyl-40-stearate, sucrose, methyl-para-hydroxybenzoate, propyl-para-hydroxybenzoate, banana essence (containing ethanol, propylene glycol), purified water.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1. Due to the lack of studies in early childhood, the medicinal product is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.
DOSAGE
Quantity and method of taking Seki Syrup 200ml Bottle 3.54 mg/ml - How to take Seki Syrup 200ml Bottle 3.54 mg/ml?
Dosage. Daily dose, adults: 2 glasses (mark ""Adults"" on the measuring cup included in the package; one mark ""Adults"" corresponds to 7.5 ml of syrup) in the evening at bedtime; one glass in the morning, one glass in the afternoon. Paediatric population: after two years: two glasses (mark ""Children"" on the measuring cup included in the package; one mark ""Children"" corresponds to 3.75 ml of syrup) in the evening before going to bed; one glass in the morning, one glass in the afternoon. Duration of treatment: 7 days. If no appreciable results are noted, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Method of administration: Seki 3.54 mg/ml syrup is to be administered orally using the measuring cup included in the package. 1. Shake before use. 2. Place the bottle in a vertical position, press on the cap and unscrew in the direction indicated by the arrow. 3. Use the glass according to the dose indicated above. For correct dosing, it is recommended to keep the glass in a horizontal position and fill it up to the mark. 4. To close the bottle, screw it tightly in the opposite direction to the opening. 5. It is recommended to wash the glass after each use.

Caution is advised when using Seki in patients with intraocular hypertension, prostatic hypertrophy or bladder obstruction. By inhibiting the cough reflex, Seki may interfere with expectoration and increase the resistance of the respiratory tract. Therefore, extreme caution is advised in patients with chronic productive cough associated with smoking, pulmonary emphysema or asthma. Important information about some of the excipients, ethanol (contained in banana flavour): this medicinal product contains 0.0011 ml of alcohol (ethanol) in each 3.75 ml dose (marked "Children") and 0.0022 ml of alcohol (ethanol) in each 7.5 ml dose (marked "Adults"). The amount in one dose of this medicinal product is equivalent to less than 1 ml of beer or 1 ml of wine. The small amount of alcohol in this medicinal product will not produce any noticeable effects. Parahydroxybenzoates: This medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). Propylene glycol (contained in the banana flavour): This medicine contains 8.6 mg propylene glycol in 3.75 ml (marked "Children") and 17.3 mg propylene glycol in 7.5 ml (marked "Adults"). Sucrose: This medicine contains 1.687 g sucrose per 3.75 ml dose (marked "Children") and 3.375 g sucrose per 7.5 ml dose (marked "Adults"). To be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine. Sodium: This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per dose, that is to say essentially 'sodium-free'.
INTERACTIONS

Although the central side effects of cloperastine are reduced, the drug may interact with both central nervous system depressants and stimulants. No interaction studies have been conducted in humans. It is not recommended, both in adults and children, the concomitant use of Seki with: alcohol, antihistamines, anticholinergics, sedatives. It is not known whether the extent of the interactions reported above is similar in pediatric age to that in adults. There is no information on any interactions of the drug with laboratory tests. There is no information on the interaction of cloperastine with food, therefore it is not recommended to take it during meals.
SIDE EFFECTS

Urticaria is the most frequently observed adverse event during post-marketing experience. The following is a list of the frequency of undesirable effects: Frequency: very common (>=1/10); common (>= 1/100, < 1/10); uncommon (>= 1/1000, < 1/100); rare (>= 1/10000, < 1/1000); very rare (< 1/10000), not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data). Within each frequency grouping, undesirable effects are presented in decreasing order of seriousness. Immune system disorders. Not known: anaphylactic/anaphylactoid reaction. Nervous system disorders. Uncommon (>=1/1,000; <1/100): somnolence, dry mouth. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders. Not known: urticaria, erythema. Paediatric population: Clinical studies and post-marketing surveillance with cloperastine have not shown any relevant differences in nature, frequency, severity and reversibility of adverse reactions between the adult and paediatric populations. Reporting of suspected adverse reactions. Reporting suspected adverse reactions that occur after authorisation of the medicinal product is important, as it allows continued monitoring of the benefit/risk balance of the medicinal product. PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking Seki Syrup 200ml Bottle 3.54 mg/ml
Pregnancy: There is no information available on the use of Seki during pregnancy. Although toxicity studies carried out during pregnancy in animals have not shown teratogenic activity and foetotoxicity, it is good practice to not take the drug in the first months of pregnancy and in the subsequent period only in case of real need under the direct supervision of a doctor. Breastfeeding: It is not known whether the medicinal product and/or its metabolites are excreted in breast milk; since a risk to the infant cannot be excluded, Seki should not be used during breastfeeding. Fertility: There are no data available on the effect of cloperastine on fertility.
