The Triderm Xeramed lip balm by BioNike is a restructuring product for dry and chapped lips. Replaces Proxera lipogel lips: the line has moved under the brand Triderm Xeramed, but the format remains 10ml.

The formula is anhydrous, that is, without water, and it is the right choice for a lip balm: there is no need to emulsify, and the film that remains on the lip lasts longer. The base is made of isopropyl palmitate, liquid paraffin and synthetic waxes, with styrenic copolymers which give the product its soft consistency and hold.

The nourishing part comes from two vegetable fats: the shea butter, Butyrospermum parkii, and thejojoba oil, Simmondsia chinensis. The first is rich and occlusive, the second is a liquid wax that glides well and does not weigh down. To complete there are the vitamin E, in the form of tocopheryl acetate, and the bisabolol, the soothing component that is extracted from chamomile.

There is no sun filter and there is no color: it is a repair balm, to be used once or more times a day as needed, even several times in the same day when the lips are very chapped. The product is nickel tested, which for BioNike is the reference declaration for those with contact allergies, and is for external use only. The shelf life with unopened package is 24 months.
