How do I use Thermacare Neck/Shoulder/Wrist 2 Pack Heat Wraps?

Open the pouch when ready to use. ThermaCare may take up to 30 minutes to reach its therapeutic temperature. Remove the protective paper from one of the adhesive tabs. Place it on the painful area with the darker side of the cells facing the skin and press the adhesive tab firmly onto the skin. Remove the protective paper from the other adhesive tab and press firmly onto the skin. For maximum effectiveness, it is recommended to wear ThermaCare for 8 hours.
The product can be disposed of hot or cold in normal household waste.

Warnings

What are the warnings for Thermacare Neck/Shoulder/Wrist 2 pcs Heat Wraps?

Do not use if:

• if the contents of the cells leak and/or the band is damaged;
• with medicated creams or ointments, plasters or other heat sources;
• on scratched or chafed skin;
• on bruises and swelling that appeared in the last 48 hours;
• on body areas insensitive to heat;
• by people who are unable to follow all instructions for use or who are unable to remove the product alone, including children and elderly people who are not self-sufficient.

Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or are pregnant.
This product may cause burns. To reduce the risk:

• Check skin periodically for signs of irritation or burns and discontinue use immediately if any are found.
• If you experience excessive heat, discontinue use or wear ThermaCare over clothing, not in direct contact with your skin.
• Over the age of 55, the risk of sunburn increases with age, wear ThermaCare over an item of clothing and do not use the band while sleeping.

• When using on the wrist, be careful not to overlap the cells.
• Do not use for more than 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the product while wearing it.

Discontinue use and consult a doctor if you notice any discomfort, irritation, burning, swelling, redness, or any other persistent changes to the skin in the area where you used the product, or if the pain increases or remains unchanged after 7 days.
The heat-generating cells contain iron (approximately 2 grams). If iron comes into direct contact with skin or eyes, remove the band, rinse thoroughly with water, and consult a doctor immediately. If accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Avoid heating the product in any way (e.g. microwave) or attempting to heat it, as the band may catch fire.
Do not use after the expiration date shown on the package and label.
