The ribes nigrum, or blackcurrant, belongs to the Grossulariaceae family. It is a shrub up to 2 meters tall and is known for its properties of its fruits, fragrant, rounded and dark berries rich in seeds. In phytotherapy, buds, leaves and fruits are used, which have recognized anti-inflammatory, antihistaminic and immunostimulant properties.
