Serenoa Repens Serenoa320 is the supplement based on phytotherapeutic extracts of Serenoa oil with a high titration in esters . The phytotherapeutic extracts obtained from the berries of Serenoa repens are widely used in cases of prostatic hypertrophy and hair loss caused by endocrine disorders (androgenic alopecia).

Serenoa repens, or Sabal serrulata or Serenoa serrulata, is a palm that grows in the southeastern United States, southern Europe and northern Africa. The active ingredients contained in its berries (triglycerides, phytosterols, sitosterol derivatives and flavonoids) have a direct action on dihydrotestosterone (DHT) receptors and an indirect action through the inhibition of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme .

DHT is a powerful androgen hormone synthesized from testosterone by the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase . If produced in excess, DHT promotes the appearance of acne, accelerates hair loss and causes prostatic hypertrophy .
