WARNINGS
What are the warnings of Nocavity temporary dental fillings kit?
Warnings
Device for temporary use only. The filling performed is temporary and does not eliminate the causes that made it necessary. Contact your dentist as soon as possible for the definitive intervention.
The maximum duration of application of a single temporary filling is 30 days. Prolonged use beyond this period, repeated replacement applications as a replacement treatment for dental surgery, or use of the device as a permanent solution are contraindicated.
Apply the material to a slightly damp cavity. Avoid excessive dehydration of the cavity, especially of vital teeth, as this may cause transient pain due to dehydration of the dentin. Do not oversecure the cavity before application.
Before complete hardening, a slight washout of the product may occur. The material can detach during chewing, especially if the cavity is not very retentive or if the application was not carried out correctly. In this case you can renew the application by following the instructions. Avoid chewing hard, sticky or chewy foods with the treated tooth during hardening (at least 20 minutes) and, when possible, for the following 24 hours. Setting time may vary depending on the shape and size of the filling.
Consult your dentist or doctor immediately in the following cases: persistent or increasing pain after application; swelling, redness or bleeding gums; prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold; symptoms of infection (fever, suppuration, swollen lymph nodes); repeated detachments of the material despite correct application; any unexpected reaction (irritation, itching, burning in the oral mucosa); persistence of the condition beyond 30 days from application; doubt about the need for urgent dental intervention.
Do not wait for the 30 days to expire if you experience symptoms: remove the material and contact a healthcare professional immediately.
In case of hypersensitivity reaction (itching, burning, localized swelling, redness of the oral mucosa or gums, urticaria), remove the material immediately and consult a doctor.
In case of accidental ingestion of small quantities of material during application, the risk is considered negligible due to the non-toxic nature of the components. If significant quantities are ingested or if symptoms appear (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain), contact a doctor or the Poison Control Center.
Do not use Nocavity under the following conditions: children under 14 years of age; pregnant or breastfeeding women; subjects with known hypersensitivity to one or more components (calcium sulphate, zinc oxide, silicone oil); presence of dental abscesses, acute inflammatory processes or active gingival bleeding; deep dental cavities with evident pulp exposure; fixed orthodontic devices in the affected area.
There are no known clinically relevant interactions between Nocavity and other commonly used dental medical devices or local medications (mouthwashes, toothpastes, OTC topical anesthetics).
The dentist will remove Nocavity before applying the final material.
No side effects are expected for this device under conditions of correct use. Improper use (application in unsuitable conditions, prolonged use beyond 30 days, use on unsuitable cavities) may lead to the risk of secondary cavities, gum irritation or delay in necessary dental intervention. If in doubt, consult your dentist.
