Convatec Natura+ Moldable Stoma Plate Stoma 22-33 mm Flange 45 mm 5 Pieces it's there plaque of a two-piece stoma system: the plaque remains on the skin around the stoma, the bag hooks onto the flange, and can be changed without removing the plate. Convatec produces this plate in three sizes: stoma 13-22mm with 45 mm flange, stoma 22-33 mm with 45 mm flange, which is this one, and stoma 33-45mm with 57 mm flange. The first two attach to the same bags, the 45 mm ones; the third wants 57 mm bags.

The system a two pieces it is useful in case of peristomal skin which does not tolerate frequent changes, because the plate remains in place while the bag is replaced, and it is useful in case of irregular stomata, where the opening shaped with the thumbs follows a shape that a round die would not reproduce.

HOW TO USE

How do I use Convatec Natura+ Moldable Stoma Plate Stoma 22-33 mm Flange 45 mm 5 Pieces?

To be used with the Natura® bag of the same size.

1. Preparation of the skin
Before applying the device, hands and peristomal skin must be clean, dry and free of oily substances.

2. Preparation of the skin barrier
Do not remove the transparent or white protective paper on the back of the skin barrier. The opening hole of the skin barrier must be modeled to the shape and size of the stoma without using scissors.
To customize the plaque opening, insert your thumbs (or other fingers) over the edge of the center hole and begin rolling the sticker outward. Use your thumbs (or other fingers) to continue rolling the adhesive until you create a hole of the desired shape and size. Finally, squeeze the rolled sticker. Do not stretch, pull or cut the decal to make it larger.
It is recommended to apply the skin barrier immediately after shaping it.

3. Application of the skin barrier
Remove the clear protective paper from the back of the skin barrier. Center the hole around the stoma. Keep the plate pressed in place for at least 30 seconds. If present, remove the white protective paper. Smooth out the barrier in situ and remove any wrinkles.
Reshape the rolled adhesive around the stoma in a circular motion and hold in place for approximately 30 seconds.
Keep in situ until you feel a feeling of comfort and safety. Usage time may vary.

4. Application of the bag
Before applying the bag, let a small amount of air enter inside it, stretching it slightly. Align the skin barrier and the bag flange and press starting from the bottom of the flange. Then proceed to the top of the flange, pressing around the entire circumference. Pull the bag to check that it has been attached correctly.

Warnings
Warning: extreme care must be taken when using adhesive products around a non-protruding urostomy, especially when associated with a megaureter and in the absence of a urinary reservoir. In some rare cases, the presence of adhesive substances has been found in the renal collecting system of these patients. If a mass is found in the urinary tract, evaluate whether to continue using the adhesive product and begin appropriate clinical treatment.
The adhesive patch may irritate the skin for patients who use diapers. If irritation occurs, cut the patch and remove it from the skin barrier.
Protect the stoma from trauma or injury.
This device is for single use only and must not be reused. Reuse may lead to an increased risk of infection or cross-contamination. Reuse may cause the physical properties of the device to no longer be optimal for its intended use.
If, during the use of this device or as a result of its use, a serious problem should occur, report the problem to the manufacturer and the competent national authority.
After use, the product may represent a potential biohazard. Handle and dispose of the product in accordance with accepted medical practices and all applicable local laws and regulations.
