INDICATIONS

Irritation, burning, redness, itching of the eye due to allergic or physical causes (excessive exposure to sunlight or snow glare or high beam headlights when traveling by car at night or to dust in work environments, etc.).

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

100 ml contain: Active ingredient: Tetrizoline hydrochloride 0.05 g.

EXCIPIENTS

Eye drops bottle: boric acid 1.415 g - sodium tetraborate 0.05 g - sodium chloride 0.25 g - benzalkonium chloride 0.01 g - methylene blue 0.0015 g - water for injections to taste. to 100 ml. Eye drops in single-dose containers: glycerol 1 g - boric acid 1.1 g - sodium borate 0.035 g - polysorbate 80 g 0.010 - water for injections to taste. to 100 ml.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS

Hypersensitivity towards the components or towards other substances closely related from a chemical point of view. It should not be used in subjects with glaucoma or other serious eye diseases and in children under three years of age.

DOSAGE

Instill 1 or 2 drops per eye, 2–3 times a day. The product must not be used for more than 4 consecutive days. Do not exceed the recommended doses. In children under 12 years of age (and over 3 years of age) use the medicine only on the advice of your doctor.

CONSERVATION

5 ml bottle and 8 ml bottle: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. After first opening: store for a maximum of 28 days at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. 0.3 ml single-dose container: no special precautions for storage. After opening the foil pouch, the product must be consumed within 30 days.

WARNINGS

The product, although presenting poor systemic absorption, must be used with caution in patients suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, cardiac disorders, diabetes and in patients being treated with anti-MAO drugs (Tranylcypromine, Phenelzine, Pargillina). Infections, pus, foreign bodies in the eye, mechanical, chemical, heat damage require medical attention. If the symptoms persist or worsen after a short period of treatment, consult your doctor. Keep the product out of the reach of children as accidental ingestion can cause severe sedation. Stilla Decongestant single-dose eye drops are presented in single sterile doses, each of which contains the quantity of eye drops sufficient for one application to both eyes. The single-dose packaging protects the eye drops from any contamination and ensures sterility and stability without the need for preservatives, making it possible to also use it by contact lens wearers. Leave 5 minutes to pass between using the eye drops and applying the contact lenses.

SIDE EFFECTS

The use of the product can sometimes cause pupillary dilation, increased intraocular pressure, nausea and headache. Rarely, hypersensitivity phenomena may occur. Only with very high doses can hypertension, heart problems or hyperglycemia occur. In these cases it is necessary to interrupt the treatment and consult the doctor so that, where necessary, suitable therapy can be instituted.

OVERDOSE

The product, if used for a long period in excessive doses, can cause toxic phenomena. In children, if accidentally ingested, the preparation can cause drowsiness, even profound drowsiness and hypotonia. Notify your doctor immediately or go to a nearby hospital.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING

During pregnancy, breastfeeding and children, use only if clearly necessary, after consulting your doctor.

EFFECTS ON DRIVING ABILITY

With topical applications of tetrizoline, no effects of any kind have been reported on the ability to drive vehicles or use other machinery.
