This medicinal product contains sucrose : patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine. One dose (1 tablespoon) of this medicine administered to a child aged 2 years or older (12 kg) would result in an exposure to 346 mg/kg of ethanol which may cause an increase in blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of approximately 4.8 mg/100 ml. Co-administration with medicinal products containing e.g. propylene glycol or ethanol may lead to accumulation of ethanol and induce adverse effects, particularly in young children with low or immature metabolic activity.
