Retopix Soothing Dermatological Mousse 150ml it's one dermatological mousse soothing, sanitizing e absorbent for the coat of dogs and cats, in a bottle of 150ml.
Theadelmidrol, present at 2%, is the ingredient that gives its name to the line: it is a derivative of azelaic acid from the aliamide family, and in the formula it is the soothing. It is useful in case of red skin areas, those that the animal scratches or licks.
Theundecylenic acid and theoctopirox, in chemistry piroctone olamine, are the two who work on the part sanitizing. They are useful in case of dandruff and of smelly skin, that is, when the whitish scales and the smell go together.
Thetapioca starch it's the part absorbent and it's also the reason why this is a mousse and not a shampoo: it retains greasy secretions and it doesn't rinse off. It is useful in case of greasy hair, and especially in the case of animals that cannot be washed often. Theechinacea purpurea complete the formula.
Le aliamides are a family of molecules that the organism produces itself in tissues under stress, and theadelmidrol it is the water-soluble synthetic analogue. This is the reason why it appears on the label with a declared concentration, 2%, and not as a trace at the bottom of the list: in this family the quantity is part of the identity of the ingredient.
The mousse it has a reason to exist that shampoo doesn't have: it is used dry. A cat that does not tolerate bathing, a dog in convalescence, an elderly animal or only one area to be treated are situations in which washing costs more than it pays off, and the foam reaches the skin, moving the fur instead of wetting it all.
The bottle gives 150ml belongs to the line Retopix, and the manufacturer foresees its use together with other adelmidrol-based products in the same range.
