Parson Vitamin C Supplement for the Nervous System 20 Sachets it's a food supplement in dust to be dissolved in water, built around Parkininax, the association of dry extracts of broad bean, uncaria e liquorice with coenzyme Q10, completed by vitamin C e vitamin E. A sachet brings 1,000 mg of broad bean extract, 100 mg of uncaria, 50 mg of licorice, 50 mg of coenzyme Q10 and the two vitamins, both at 100% of the VNR. Vitamin C contributes to normal function of the nervous system, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Parkininax is the name of the vegetable mixture that characterizes the formula, and the broad bean it is by far the most abundant component. The broad bean (Vicia faba L.) is a legume cultivated in the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years, and comes here as a dry extract of seeds, a 1,000 mg per sachet: alone it is worth ten times the uncaria and twenty times the liquorice.

Theuncaria (Uncaria rhynchophylla) is a woody vine from eastern Asia, and its name comes from the hooks with which it clings to the trees in the forest: those are precisely the hooked branches, the part of the plant that is collected and from which the dry extract is obtained, present here at 100mg per sachet. This species, and this part of the plant, are recognized as relaxation and the mental well-being. Uncaria is useful in cases of tension, periods of overload and the search for relaxation.

The liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) enters with the root, a 50 mg of dry extract titrated at 18-22% in glycyrrhizic acid, for a contribution of 10 mg of that sachet substance. Glycyrrhizic acid is the molecule that gives the root its sweet flavour, much more intense than that of sugar, and is the parameter on which the extract is titrated. The licorice root is recognized as functionality of the digestive system, the fluidity of bronchial secretions and the well-being of the nose and throat. Licorice is useful in cases of slow digestion, red throat and respiratory tract problems.

The coenzyme Q10, or ubiquinone, is a fat-soluble molecule made of a benzoquinone ring and a long polyisoprene tail: it is that tail that keeps it stable inside the double layer of phospholipids, that is, inside the membranes. In the internal membrane of the mitochondria, coenzyme Q10 transports electrons from complexes I and II to complex III, the passage of the respiratory chain from which energy is obtained; in the membranes and lipoproteins of the blood it behaves instead antioxidant and slows down lipid peroxidation. The body synthesizes it itself, and the rate of that synthesis decreases with age. This molecule is also attributed aneuroprotective action, and there are some in a Parson sachet 50 mg. Coenzyme Q10 is useful in cases of tiredness, high energy demands and in phases of life in which endogenous synthesis slows down.

The vitamin C is present at 80 mg per sachet, that is 100% of the VNR: contributes to normal function of the nervous system, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The vitamin E, a 12 mg, also 100% VNR, in turn contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and does so in the fatty part of the membranes, because it is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin C and vitamin E are useful in case of tiredness, fatigue and increased need for antioxidants.
