Dilagent anal probe

Dilagent is a soft silicone dilator indicated in the treatment of pathologies of the anorectal tract caused by sphincter hypertonicity such as fissures, hemorrhoids and painful spasms after surgical treatments on the anorectal tract. It can also be used in post-surgical strictures of the anal canal and in the treatment of vaginismus and dyspareunia.

Why is Dilagent anal probe used? What is it for?

DILAGENT anal probe is indicated in the treatment of pathologies of the anorectal tract caused by sphincter hypertonicity such as anal fissure, hemorrhoids, anal pain and painful spasms after surgical operations on the anorectal tract. Results have also been obtained in post-surgical stenosis of the anus and anal canal, in the paradoxical contraction of the puborectalis muscle (anism) and for rehabilitation after sphincter repair surgery.

DILAGENT vaginal probe is also particularly indicated in the treatment of vaginismus and dyspareunia. Furthermore, DILAGENT vaginal probe is able to act on the pubococcygeus muscle which intervenes both in the regulation of urinary flow and in the control of the birth tract. This can significantly improve conditions of urinary incontinence as DILAGENT vaginal probe is a useful ally for regenerating the tone of the muscles thanks to the alternation of contraction and relaxation repeated several times which strengthens both the urinary sphincter and the pelvic muscles, thus reducing uncontrolled urinary losses.

HOW TO USE

How do I use Dilagent anal probe?

Before the treatment, it is advisable to take a sitz bath with hot water and Sapigen K for 5/8 minutes in order to relax the perianal muscles. Once the air contained in the probe has been removed using the syringe supplied, lubricate the dilator with plenty of Dilatan Cream and insert it delicately into the anus until the handle comes into contact with the anal margin. For the first 2 or 3 days, inject 10/20 ml of hot water into the probe (40/45°). As the therapy proceeds, increase the quantity of hot water up to a maximum of 50 ml. Larger quantities could cause a continuous and annoying urge to defecate. The length of the infusion set allows you to easily carry out these maneuvers in full autonomy.
The treatment must be continued for 3-4 weeks.
After each use, wash the probe with water and neutral soap. Dry with a soft cloth before storing. Use is strictly personal.
