Why do you use Complete Flow Meter Oxygen Bubbler? What is it for?

HOW TO USE

How do I use the complete flowmeter oxygen bubbler?

Before proceeding with the administration of oxygen:
- prepare the humidifier (bottle with cap equipped with tube, silencer filter and strap), inserting the silencer filter to cover the end part of the tube inside the bottle;
- fill the bottle with sterile water used no higher than the "Water Level" line.
The humidifier must be used in a vertical position, resting on the base. If it is not possible to place the humidifier on a surface, keep it suspended through the support strap to be inserted into the appropriate holes in the cap. Do not tilt or turn upside down.
Screw the cap onto the bottle until fully tightened.
Connect the green end of the extension to the small inlet nozzle "in" (corresponding to the tube with the silencer filter) on the cap.
Connect the other end of the extension cord to your oxygen source.
Connect the nasal cannula to the “OUT” nozzle of the bottle cap.
Perform an oxygen supply test to verify correct connections.

WARNINGS

What are the warnings of Complete Flow Meter Oxygen Bubbler?

Warnings

Liquid should not enter the nasal cannula tube.
Check the insertion of the conjunctions so that there can be no oxygen leaks.
Make sure the nozzle in the bottle is immersed in the liquid.
Have the patient wear the nasal cannula by gently introducing the appropriate terminals of the nasal dispenser into the nostrils. Keep the terminals of the nasal distributor in position and pass both the right and left tubes around the relevant auricles, then making them descend along the mandibular arches up to the submental region.
Adjust the tension using the plastic positioning ring. After checking all the connections, deliver the oxygen by adjusting the flow according to the doctor's prescription.
During dispensing, periodically check that the suction terminal in the bottle is always immersed in the liquid, to avoid the possible dispensing of non-humidified oxygen.
An oxygen flow higher than 10 litres/min can lead to a possible introduction of liquid, coming from the humidifier, into the mixture sent to the patient.
Reuse of the product, contrary to these instructions, may result in:
- alterations of materials;
- failure to clean the device and possible presence of biological residues which can cause cross-infections;
- the loss of the initial functional characteristics of the product.
The nasal cannula is equipped with an anti-crush tube so the risk of interrupting the flow is reduced, but still possible. There is a residual risk that accidental crushing or bending of the connection tube does not allow the regular passage of oxygen and could thus cause the connector to detach from the regulator. Careful monitoring by users is therefore recommended. In case of failure, replace the kit.
This product contains phthalates (Dehp). Although there are no proven risks to human health, the long-term use of the devices on pregnant/breastfeeding women or children should be evaluated by the attending physician.
Concentrated oxygen can cause ignition of combustible materials. To avoid fire or explosion risks, keep away from possible sources of ignition, and refer to the precautions for use of the equipment used to supply oxygen.
