Test strip for self-testing blood glucose for use with the Accu-Chek meter. Sturdy and easy to handle, it is equipped with a large Y-shaped aspiration area, called Y-Easy Fill, which allows simple and safe application of the blood sample with a minimum quantity, only 0.6 microlitres, both with the classic method than with the AST method (blood sampling from altered sites at the fingertip). Inside the strip there are 8 gold electrodes that carry out over 150 automatic quality checks, to offer the accuracy of the result. They are able to verify the integrity of the strip and the reagents based on humidity and external temperature, any damage to the strip and the amount of blood deposited, with an error signal in the event of insufficient blood and the possibility of redosing within 5 seconds. Each pack of strips contains a Smart Code for coding, which contains all the information relating to the characteristics of the strips being used. The strip bottle makes it easy to open and close with a flip cap attached to the bottle. In addition, the desiccant is evenly distributed on the walls and offers better retention of the strips.
