EPA and DHA can be produced in the human body from ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), the essential fatty acid of the omega-3 series. However, the conversion of ALA into EPA and DHA is inefficient in humans, and for this reason supplementation with EPA and DHA is significantly more beneficial. This formula is ideal for those who want to reap the maximum benefits from supplementing large doses of fish oil.
