T-Norma Col is a food supplement based on high-titration phytotherapeutic extracts of Turmeric, Fermented Red Rice, Mukul Resin, Fenugreek and Olive Leaves. The use of the exclusive extraction technique of the active ingredients DRT Exctract maximizes their bioavailability and facilitates their absorption by the body. Indicated for normalizing the levels of total cholesterolemia, LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), triglyceridesemia and fat metabolism . Contributes to cardiovascular and circulatory well-being. Excellent antioxidant action .

Fermented red rice is a food recognized by the Chinese pharmacopoeia in the 14th century as highly beneficial for human health. The fermentation process is carried out by a microorganism known as red yeast (Monascus Purpureus). This fungal agent proliferates, changing the color, flavor and aroma of red rice. The effectiveness of fermented red rice in reducing fats in the blood , particularly LDL cholesterol , is attributable to the metabolic residues left by the red yeast, called monacolins . In particular, monacolin K in fermented red rice mimics the chemical structure and action of lovastatin, a synthetic drug with a hypocholesterolemic action. Monacolin K inhibits the key enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis, HMG-CoA. This significantly contributes to normalizing endogenous cholesterol production .

Curcuma Longa is a plant of Asian origin that belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, used as a spice and known for centuries for its extraordinary antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties . Responsible for its properties is the active ingredient that gives the rhizome its typical yellow ochre color, Curcumin . This is not a single molecule, but a complex of three distinct molecules with different and complementary benefits : Curcumin I (diferuloylmethane), Curcumin II (demethoxycurcumin) and Curcumin III (bisdemethoxycurcumin). Curcumins have demonstrated significant antioxidant and cardioprotective activities that promote blood thinning and circulation, helping to strengthen the lining of blood vessels. Furthermore, curcumins can act at the liver level by stimulating the liver to produce more bile. This facilitates the elimination of cholesterol and contributes to the control of blood sugar and lipid metabolism .

Commiphora mukul is a plant native to India and Pakistan. The gum-oleoresin obtained from the bark of the branches and trunk of the plant is also known as guggul gum . Among the active substances contained in guggul , guggulsterones Z and E are of particular interest. These are able to promote the reduction of cholesterol and fat levels in the blood. The hypocholesterolemic and hypolipidemic properties attributed to guggulsterones have been the subject of numerous studies to understand their mechanism of action. The most accredited theory indicates that guggulsterones are antagonists of the farnesoid X receptor, which has the function of regulating the homeostasis of LDL cholesterol and bile acids. Cholesterol homeostasis refers to the set of mechanisms that have the purpose of preventing excessive variations , in defect or in excess, of cholesterol levels in the body. In simple terms, guggulsterones inhibit receptors involved in cholesterol overproduction, helping to normalize their functions in the case of endogenous cholesterol overproduction.

Fenugreek, or Trigonella, is a plant that grows spontaneously in coastal and sub-mountain environments. Trigonella seed extracts are attributed hypocholesterolemic and hypotriglyceridemic properties . It has been shown that fenugreek seeds contribute to lowering blood sugar levels and that the stimulatory effect on the excretion of bile acids, probably attributable to saponins, facilitates the elimination of excess cholesterol from the body.

Olive leaves contain hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol and oleuropein, molecules that help fight obesity and stimulate the metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates . Tyrosol is able to increase lipolysis , i.e. the metabolic process that uses fats to generate energy for the body. Phenols help increase serotonin levels in the central nervous system, a substance that can quell the obsessive desire for carbohydrates and perform a sedative action that significantly reduces anxious hunger. Finally, oleuropein, the most important molecule of the three, is a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and its absorption by the body, helping to control its levels in the blood.
